St Bartholomew’s Medical Centre
Did you know you can book your appointment online? Using online services makes it more convenient for people at our practice, as there’s no need to make a phone call or visit us. Computer, smartphone or tablet users can make or cancel an appointment at a time that suits them, even when the practice is closed. If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service.

Oxford Brookes University Medical Centre - During Semester time
There is at least one doctor available in rotation for booked appointments in the Oxford Brookes Medical Centre every morning and afternoon during semester time.
If you feel you need an emergency, same day appointment, the receptionist will put your name on the duty doctor’s list and the duty doctor will contact you to determine the best course of action with you – please ensure that your phone is to hand.
So that we can make the best use of doctor time you may be booked in to see one of our highly trained nurses. If your appointment is for Family Planning, Cytology, Travel, coughs and colds and other minor illnesses, please ask for a nurse appointment.
We also offer shorter telephone consultations at the end of each surgery – please ask reception if you would prefer this. We will give you an approximate time when the doctor will phone you back.
Saturday Morning Surgery Appointments (pre-booked only)
One doctor and one nurse are available for face to face surgery appointments each Saturday morning in rotation between 08:30 and 13:00.
These appointments are designed to be used by people who are usually working during the week, making it difficult for them to get to see a GP Monday – Friday.
We are very aware that for many patients English is not their first language.
If you need an interpreter, please inform reception when booking your appointment, you may need a longer appointment where an interpreter is used.
Some doctors speak additional languages:
